Information on Shipping Costs
We ship our products all over the world and work hard to find the fastest and least expensive methods to use. Our shipping costs include both the basic shipping plus the cost of insurance, which varies by the value of the contents. Here is what we usually do:
Continental USA - We use Media Mail or 1st class, whichever is less expensive, for books (10 to 14 day delivery for Media Mail) and Priority Mail for everything else. (2 to 3 day delivery).
Alaska, Hawaii and US Possessions - We use Priority Mail for everything. (3 to 5 day delivery)
All Other Countries - We use US Postal Service International Priority Mail. It is about half the cost of UPS or FedEx, and
almost as fast. The biggest delay in international delivery is always Customs, and can add from 3 days to 2 weeks to
the time to your location. We had one case where a package sat in Customs for over a month.
NOTE: Our International rates are based on the most common shipping charges to Canada, Western Europe, Australia and New Zealand, where the vast majority of our international shipments go. We reserve the right to refuse to ship if the charges to your location exceed the amount we are collecting for shipping. If this occurs, we will contact you to make some adjustments. We had a situation where the shipping cost of a package to Papua New Guinea was 90% of the value of the whole invoice. Obviously, we can't afford to do that very often. We also do not ship to countries in Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa with high rates of credit card fraud. Thank you for understanding.
