How's Your Self-Image?
Dr Maxwell Maltz has written that it is impossible for us
to repeatedly act in any way that is not consistent with
our self-image. Have you ever had the experience of
knowing what you should do, and not doing it? That's
usually your self-image in action!
What is this beast and how do you tame it? The answer
is found in The Winner's Image, Bob Proctor's only
program that deals specifically with this part of your
mind. It includes a video shot in the Toronto Science
Center showing dramatic examples of how illusions
can fool our mind.
Don't let your old self-image boss you around any
longer. Learn how to create a new one that supports
you in expressing your greatness. It's on sale, too!

The Law of Gestation
"The earth produces of itself, first the stalk,
then the head, then the full grain in the head."
- - Mark 4:28
I had an interesting question from a student about
timing yesterday. She had written her goal to be
the top sales producer in the USA in her company
and she had put a date on it. The date came and
went, and she got a little discouraged. "This stuff
doesn't work" her mind told her. But she kept the
goal in her desk and looked at it occasionally.
She eventually quit the job for a better one, and on
her last day of work her boss walked in and said "I
thought you'd like to see this." It was the latest
ranking, and she made #1. Her question was,
"I thought if I missed the date that I'd failed. What's
the deal with dates? Aren't we supposed to put
them on goals?"
To answer this question, we have to use an
agricultural analogy. We think of ideas, or goals, as
seeds that we plant in the fertile soil of our
consciousness. We "water and fertilize" them with
purpose, vision, faith, gratitude and action. But unlike
normal seeds, we don't know the gestation period of
the "idea seeds." We have to guess.
So if we don't know, why put a date on them? That
question is easy - we do it to give ourselves a
sense of urgency! It would be nice if we all worked
the same whether we had deadlines or not, but
since we all have more to do than we can get done
we prioritize with deadlines. That sense of urgency
keeps us focused on our goal.
What happens if the date comes and goes? Simple,
change the date! Don't change the goal, just
understand that you didn't estimate the gestation
period correctly. Ideas will grow into physical
reality by law just like corn or wheat seeds. "first
the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the
head." Different natural laws, but the same process.
Do you have goals? Do they have dates? How'r you
doing with the "water and fertilizer"?
Here's to a rich, full harvest!
