Powerful Tips to Grow Your Business and Your Life

"One pointed intention means holding your attention to
the intended outcome with such unbending purpose that
you absolutely refuse to allow obstacles to consume and
dissipate the focused quality of your attention. There is a
total and complete exclusion of all obstacles from your
consciousness... Learn to harness the power of intention
and you can create anything you desire." - Deepak Chopra

It amazes me how many people wander through
life simply reacting to what shows up. I suppose
it shouldn't amaze me that much - I spent most
of my life that way - but it does.
When you believe that the world outside of
yourself is separate and unconnected to
you in any meaningful way, there's no reason
to behave any differently. Some days are good,
some days are not, and it seems to be pretty
random. We're a victim of circumstances.
When we start to study the mind, and learn the
secrets of goal achieving we take the first step
out of victim consciousness. We learn that we
can choose goals and by focusing on them and
believing in them we can manifest them.
We learn that life is not random, that it works by
law. So our good days and our bad days are just
reflections of our thinking, not bad luck.
As we study some more, we become aware that
there is a state of mind about our goals that is even
more powerful, and that is expectation. When belief
becomes expectation, goals manifest quickly.
Expectation shows up as action. You make room for
what you expect. You clean out the garage for the new
car, you set up the workstation for the new employee,
you arrange time off from work for the cruise. You don't
wait until you see it.
There is a mental state, however, even beyond
expectation. That state is intention. We can learn to
intend our day into existence one act, one event at
a time. We do this by consciously setting our
intention for the day and for each part of the day as
we go along. We ask, 'How do I intend this meeting,
this trip, this sales call to be?" and the answer
becomes our intention.
The quote from Deepak Chopra at the beginning of
this issue says that intention is single-pointed. That is,
it doesn't take "no" for an answer. It doesn't
recognize or give power to obstacles, it only sees the
objective as a done deal.
Wayne Dyer has a slightly different way of looking at
it. In his new book, "The Power Of Intention", he sees
intention as a force with which we can align ourselves
to create anything. It's not so much will power as
alignment.
Without this alignment we have intention working
against us instead of for us, and that's not good.
Of course, Dyer is absolutely correct about this.
Wallace Wattles said the same thing in
"Science of Getting Rich".
(The next "Science of Getting Rich" teleseminar
will begin in July. Watch for registration info!)
The key law to remember in this situation is that
your intention must lead to good results for
everyone involved. You cannot gain at someone
else's expense and you cannot have what is
rightfully someone else's.
So there are two parts to successful intention - choose
your intent with firm resolve, and align with the laws.
When you do this, you can create your day in any way
you want.
In the terrific new movie, "What the Bleep Do We Know?",
http://www.whatthebleep.com,
Dr. Joseph Dispenza comments on how every morning
he sets his intention for the day. He says you don't
have to wonder whether it'll be a good or bad day - you
can and should choose for yourself!
Good advice! So, why don't you try it this week?

Article #2 - Mind Matters - Musivation
Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Michele Blood,
the talented and energetic Australian transplant whose
music appears on some of Bob Proctor's programs,
including the "Success Series". With her background as
a singer, songwriter and traveling-with-a-band rock
musician, it's no surprise that her high-energy music is
so good.
What may surprise you is the lyrics - they're affirmations!
She used affirmations to create her own healing from a
near fatal car wreck, and in the process decided that
there had to be a better way to use affirmations than
just saying them.
Have you ever had the experience of saying affirmations
and clearly hearing some other part of your mind saying,
"Yeah, right! In your dreams!"? Well, so did she.
Michele realized that we can bypass the critical part of
our mind with music. Advertisers know this - that's why
ads have jingles. So Michele created Musivation - the
marriage of music and motivation. Music carries the
message right into the subconscious.
Sing along with me - "I am a magnet for money. I have
more than I need. I am a magnet for money. Money,
money loves me!" Catchy, eh? You oughtta hear it
with music!
We know from our mind studies that one way to bypass
our critical mind is with relaxation, or self-hypnosis. Now
we can add music to our bag of tricks. Put power in
your affirmations! Let 'em rock!
Write your own affirmations to one of your favorite and
most addictive tunes, or check out Michele's material
in the resource box below. Her stuff is great!
